The QMI HPS-2000 system uses heated pins to micro perforate plastic film. The servo-driven unit may be placed in continuous or intermittent operation. A QMI brand PLC control system spins the roll at exact line speed and also controls engagement and disengagement of the heated pins for perforating only a portion of the bag or web.
KEY FEATURES INCLUDE:
- Internally and externally heated pin roll with heat adjustment control.
- Brass brush back-up roll to support the web and allow pin penetration.
- On board optical encoder for exact line speed and movement following ability.
- Servo drives match roll speed to line speed and allow the roll to be disengaged and engaged for intermittent perforation.
- Reads print marks or bag seams, and can be programmed to perforate specific areas of a bag or a continuous web.
- Square, diamond, offset and custom patterns are available.
- The clamshell style enclosure opens and closes pneumatically and provides full safety guarding.
- Alarms and disengages from the web if overheating or under heating occur.
- Designed for either in- or out-of-line operation.
